Who We Are
Protea Gardens of Maui is a family-owned and operated flower farm nestled high on the slopes of Mauna a Haleakala on the beautiful Island of Maui.
Committed to enhancing Hawaii's rural economy, we have provided high-quality flowers for over 45 years and are proud to offer a vast and rare selection of stunning Protea blossoms.
Our dedicated Ohana (Hawaiian for family) tends to thousands of plants on our 16-acre farm. Due to our unique micro-climate found few places in the world, we can grow the finest Protea in the Western Hemisphere. Our flowers are big, bold, and beautiful, as well as incredibly vibrant and long-lasting.
Being good stewards of the land, we have dedicated a large portion of our property to growing native plants that support our biodiverse and indigenous ecosystems. Groves of koa trees are loved by local owls, and native ohia, a'ali'i, sandalwood, and mamane support Maui's bird and bee population. Migratory kolea return to their territorial spots every fall, flying across the ocean from their Arctic breeding grounds.
